Established in 1980, Mountain Outin’ Tours, Inc. specializes in multi-day escorted group tours to unusual destinations throughout the United States, Canada, Australia/New Zealand, and Western Europe. Tour themes includes rail travel, soft adventure, such as wildlife viewing and photography, waterways cruises, and travel on the by-ways to fascinating smaller towns and less well known travel destinations.

Most programs are limited to a single departure and a group size of 40 or fewer. Our travel destinations are changed from year to year. This encourages folks to travel with us again and also allows us to include special events and activities in residential or non-commercial settings which might not be available for more frequent visits.

All Mountain Outin’ travel programs are designed by our staff. Our company is small, which we consider an asset, as it allows us maximum flexibility in itinerary selection, while at the same time providing our customers personalized service. Each travel program is accompanied by a professional tour manager who handles all the details. Prices include most expenses, including transportation, lodging, sightseeing, taxes and many meals. There are no hidden “extras.” Most of our advertising is “word of mouth.” We are proud that usually over 70% of the participants on our travel programs have traveled with us before.

We publish a detailed brochure for each travel program which provides a day-by-day itinerary, listing of the names of hotels used, meals included, and attractions visited. Brochures are mailed automatically to those on our mailing list. There is no cost or obligation to receive our mailings. Add my name to your mailing list.

Mountain Outin’ Tours, Inc. is registered as a seller of travel with the California Department of Justice. (Registration #1002830-40). All customer payments are placed in a trust account at Union Bank of California. Mountain Outin’ participates in the California Travel Consumer Restitution Fund. Mountain Outin’ is also a member of NTA, a national association of tour operators and suppliers, and abides by their code of ethics.
